Our origins<\/p>\n\n\n\n
580 employees. 65 years of experience. One family.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
We have been producing doors in Trierweiler, near the Mosel, for more than 65\u00a0years. When newly qualified master carpenter Klaus Borne founded the company in 1956, he quickly began to specialise in one product: good doors. This clear focus has been maintained by our grown family business to this day: We appreciate simply impressive solutions, clear and direct communication.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Our doors are manufactured exclusively in Germany by 580\u00a0employees within a space of some 93,000\u00a0m\u00b2 at our factory in Trierweiler, near the Mosel.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Design. Quality. Both timeless.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
We consider doors to be good when their design and quality stand the test of time: our door hinges, for instance, are opened and closed 100,000\u00a0times in a fatigue test. Our designs constantly set new standards: we were the first to develop the brightest white shades for doors that are perfectly matched to the most commonly sold wall paints: customers love our Polar white and many imitate it. Accolades that speak for themselves.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Responsibility in manufacturing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
As a family-run company, we think in generations. We take responsibility for the conscious use of energy and resources. Through continuous technical development and optimised processes, we reduce emissions and energy consumption at our plants. With our photovoltaic system and wood-fired power plant, we generate roughly as much energy as our plants need over the course of a year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
\nOur photovoltaic system now delivers 1,500 kWp \u2013 four times its original output. This is supplemented by electricity and heat from industrial waste wood, which we use in our wood-fired power station.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Doing more<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We constantly set the bar higher. We are developing our production level with the aim of optimising material usage and bundling processes in a effective way: The wood for our doors comes from sustainably managed forests. Supply channels are optimised by sourcing almost all raw materials and parts from Germany, many of them locally. We are gradually converting our vehicle fleet to electric cars with on-site charger stations. Our lacquered doors are tested for emissions and pollutants and meet the criteria for T\u00dcV certification. To reduce the use of plastic, we use recycled paper bubble wrap instead of foam for our frame packaging. We have been using corrugated cardboard for our doors for years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
Our commitment continues after delivery. We want you to feel completely \u2013 and permanently \u2013 satisfied. In our view, on the other side of every good door is a reliable, experienced partner.
